Since 1990, Haleos has grown from a single-product facility into a multi-location organisation supported by its own research centre. Over time, the company has broadened its capabilities and strengthened its presence across domestic and international markets.
SMS Lifesciences is a global player in APIs/Intermediates manufacturing having a strong research and manufacturing team supported by state of the art facilities. What started off as a single facility – single product manufacturing company in 1990 grew to be a multi-location group having products spread across an array of therapeutic segments. SMS Group was given the export house status in the year 1997-98. SMS Lifesciences is currently a public listed company having ever appreciating International and Domestic customer base. Having three multi product facilities in operation and a research centre, SMS Lifesciences executed contract manufacturing and research assignment for global customer base. The company has won accolades like “India Pharma Bulk Drug Company of the Year Award” from Government of India in 2020 and “Outstanding Export Performance Award 2018-19” in “All round-Rising Star” Category from The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India.

Our Team
T V V S N Murthy is a Graduate in Chemistry and has a rich experience in bulk drug and pharmaceutical industry. He started his career in 1981 with Standard Organics Limited, Hyderabad, as a Chemist in R & D. During this period he was instrumental in developing technologies and processes for several bulk drugs.He was actively involved in commercialisation of products by scaling up the laboratory-scale process to pilot plant and up to commercial scale.
In 1984, he joined Cheminor Drugs Limited (Group of Dr Reddy's Limited Laboratory), Hyderabad as Production Manager. He played a major role in substantial improvement in production and turnover. He played a key role in getting US FDA approval for Cheminor Drugs Limited. As a Production Manager, he contributed a lot in process improvement, cost reduction procedures, and to increase labour productivity by motivation.
He co-promoted SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited in 1990. He played a vital role in production improvement, energy saving initiatives, expansion projects and R& D activities of SMS Pharma. He was instrumental in efficiency improvement of Ranitidine which fuelled the initial growth of SMS Pharma.
Currently as Managing Director of SMS Lifesciences India Limited, he is steering the growth of the company with his vast experience in the pharmaceuticals industry.

Praveen Talluri is a Post Graduate in Management from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode and an Engineering Degree from BITS, Pilani. In his previous employment as Pharma Strategy Consultant in Deloitte India he has worked on various assignments with leading Healthcare and Pharmaceutical clients. Prior to that, he has the experience of working at Cognizant Technologies. He held various leadership positions in college and has received many other awards and accolades.
He worked as Vice-President Marketing of SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited during the period from 2008 to 2017. During his stint in SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited, he was instrumental in significant growth in customer base and entry into new markets. He also played a pivotal role in existing products leadership and new product sales. He was actively involved in streamlining company’s operational and regulatory functions. Soon after demerger of SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited (Demerged Company), he has been elevated as Sr. Vice-President, Operations of SMS Lifesciences India Limited(Resulting Company) in the year 2017.
Currently As Executive Director of the company, he is spearheading the growth plans of the company with new partnerships, products and global customer base.
He worked as Vice-President Marketing of SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited during the period from 2008 to 2017. During his stint in SMS Pharmaceuticals Limited, he was instrumental in significant growth in customer base and entry into new markets. He also played a pivotal role in existing products leadership and new product sales. He was actively involved in streamlining company’s operational and regulatory functions. She is a post graduate from BITS-Pilani campus, with a Masters in Chemistry and Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering. Apart from securing multiple awards and distinction in academics, she has held various leadership positions in various social and cultural events at college and community level and received many accolades.
Before joining SMS Lifesciences, she has gained varied experience working in multinational technology companies like Amazon and Oracle in India. During her 7 year stay in USA, to increase her international exposure in business she has worked in multiple international organisations such as The World Bank, an international financial institution in Washington D.C, that provides loans and grants to the other countries and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, a health insurance conglomerate in Chicago, that provides health insurance to more than 106 million people in US and also has operations in 170+ countries.
